Our Business Editing service focuses on your document on two levels. Firstly, it examines the sentences to ensure they are clear and use the right tone for your intended audience. This stage may involve rewriting some of your sentences to improve them; ensuring they read well. This stage will ensure that your audience is receiving the necessary information from your piece. Following this, your editor will focus on grammar and punctuation – making sure that there are no mistakes such as wrong word use, typos or missing punctuation. This is an important stage as spelling mistakes have a negative impact on company image.

What to Expect
Proof Master aims to create an easy user experience. After we receive your file, a suitably qualified editor will be allocated your file. Our editors all hold higher-education degrees, with many holding PhD, Doctorate and Professorship qualifications across diverse backgrounds. Our editors sign Non-Disclosure Agreements prior to commencing work with us, meaning you can rest assured that your work will remain secure and confidential.
For proofreading and editing services, our editors will use the tracked changes function in Microsoft Word. This enables you to see and approve every small change they have made. Our editors may also use the comments function in Microsoft Word to bring your attention to areas they feel need further work. For businesses choosing our Document Rework service, the tracked changes function will not be used, and rewritten sections will be indicated in a different colour.
Once your editor has completed their work, your document will proceed through a final Quality Control check. You will be notified once your document is ready. You will receive two versions of your document – one showing the tracked changes and a ‘clean’, formatted version with any comments clearly visible for your attention. You can download your documents from the email or from the “My Order” section of the website. We aim to return all documents within the allocated deadline, hopefully giving you plenty of time to make any last-minute additions before your own final deadline.
